Disclaimer

Everything on this site is general information about travelling to and living in Thailand. It is not legal, tax or immigration advice, and I am not a government body, a licensed travel agent or a lawyer.

The limits of what I can promise

Visa rules, fees and eligibility change frequently, sometimes with a few days of notice, and often without clear public guidance. I check everything against official sources and I put a last-verified date on every page. That is the best any independent site can offer and it is not a guarantee.

I have had four open questions on the visa pages at the time of writing, where the Thai government has not published a rule. Where that is the case I say so rather than filling the gap with a guess. You should assume other pages have similar gaps.

Before you spend money

Confirm your own position with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate for your country, the Thai Immigration Bureau, or your airline. This is especially important if you are on a residence permit rather than a national passport, if your passport is close to expiry, if you have a criminal record, or if you are investing significant money in a long-stay visa.

What I am not responsible for

Visa refusals, overstays, fines, denied boarding, lost money, or any loss arising from decisions you make based on this site. Overstaying a Thai visa is fined 500 baht per day up to 20,000, and blacklisting is a real consequence, so know your expiry date.

I do not sell visas, do not charge application fees, and do not receive commission from any service mentioned here. If a page ever links to something I am paid for, it will say so on the page.
